Realistic Outdoor Lighting FINISHED!

May 3, 2011

I’ve fallen a little bit behind with problems upgrading to Ubuntu 11.04 and getting my graphic card drivers to work.  I got back into action today though and worked on another tutorial titled “How to Create Realistic Outdoor Lighting“.  This was a superb tutorial once again by Andrew Price that dives into complex lighting and rendering setups.

The tutorial explains how to create key and fill lighting, bounce lighting, and environmental lighting effects.  It also focuses a little bit on the compositor and how it can be used to give your scene that extra edge.  Please leave feedback and let me know what you think!

If you would like to follow along on how to create this scene, go here:

  3. Thank you Wes! I grew up doing 3D work but haven’t touched it until recently. Still doing lots of tutorials to catch myself back up and learn Blender. At some point I’d like to join in on making tutorials myself to help the cause so come back soon!

Do you have a website or any renders to show off?
